Look at rows one and four. Angi and This Old House are both large, current, national publishers describing the same service in the same year, and they are more than double apart: $168 against $360. Angi's own Raleigh page is lower again at $117. Getting a ladder safely to a three story roofline, moving it a dozen times and working off it is a different job from standing on a six foot step ladder at a ranch. That is why we go $275, $299, $389 by story and why every serious quote asks how tall the house is before it asks anything else.

We price flat by story count and the footage never enters the calculation. Be clear about who that helps. If you have a long roofline, a wraparound porch, dormers or a lot of downspouts, you win, and you win by more the longer the run gets. If you have a small ranch with ninety feet of gutter, a per foot quote would probably beat our standalone price on paper. What you get instead is a number that is fixed before anyone arrives, does not move when the crew sees the back of the house, and does not need measuring to confirm.
